Kyoshi K. Anand Devadiga was born in Udupi and began his martial arts training in 1983 at the Indian Academy of Martial Arts under the guidance of K. Lakshmikanth. In 1989, he further enhanced his skills at the Institute of Karate and Allied Arts under the expert mentorship of Praveen Kumar. His personal interests include trekking and cycling, reflecting an active and adventurous lifestyle. He has also undertaken notable cycling journeys to cities such as Goa, Bengaluru, Mysore and Mumbai, highlighting his endurance and passion for long-distance travel.
K. Anand Devadiga earned his Black Belt in 1990 under the guidance of Chew Choo Soot and Praveen Kumar. Following this milestone, in 1989 he began conducting karate classes at Kasturba Medical College for 3 decades. He later trained students for five years at RSB Bhavan and has now shifted his training center to Madhava Kripa School, where karate training continues successfully to this day.
Throughout his martial arts journey, he has secured multiple championship titles and achieved notable success in various State and National-level karate competitions.
He is also recognized as the first individual to organize open-stage fedlight martial arts demonstrations at several prominent venues, creating a unique platform to promote karate and showcase talent. These events were conducted at KMC Ground in 1992, VJU Club in 1995, Rajangana in 2002, Parkala in 2007, a national-level event at Ajjarakad indoor stadium in 2011, and again in Manipal in 2020.

Kyoshi M. Suresh is a distinguished martial art educator, and community leader with an illustrious career spanning over four decades in martial arts, leadership, and youth development.
He completed his Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from Vivekananda College, Puttur, followed by a Master's Degree in Commerce from Mangalore University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Hindi from Mysore University.
During his academic years, Kyoshi Suresh was actively involved in leadership and extracurricular activities. He served as a Senate Representative of Mangalore University and demonstrated exceptional commitment to the National Cadet Corps (NCC). Having successfully completed the A, B, and C Certificates, he rose to the rank of Senior Under Officer during both his high school and college years. He also attended several NCC camps across India, which helped shape his discipline, leadership, and organizational abilities.
A passionate martial artist with over 42 years of experience, Kyoshi M. Suresh holds the prestigious rank of 8th Dan Black Belt in Karate. He was fortunate to receive his Black Belt at a very young age directly from Grandmaster Chew Choo Soot, the founder of Karate Budokan International Malaysia, an honor that laid the foundation for his lifelong dedication to martial arts.
In addition to his achievements in Karate, he is also a Black Belt holder in Judo, awarded by the Judo Federation of India (JFI), and holds the distinction of being the first Black Belt from Dakshina Kannada District. He is also recognized as a National Judo Referee and Coach, further demonstrating his expertise and contribution to multiple martial arts disciplines.

Over the years, he has participated in numerous State, National, and International Karate Championships, earning several titles and accolades. He currently serves as the Chief Instructor of Karate Institute and as an International Karate Referee, contributing significantly to the promotion and development of Budokan Karate globally.
Beyond martial arts, he is also an active member of the Mangalore Roller Skating Club (R) and serves as an instructor at Puttur Skating Classes, inspiring and mentoring young athletes in multiple disciplines.
Kyoshi M. Suresh currently holds the distinguished position of Secretary General of United Karate Budokan International (UKBI), where he continues to contribute significantly to the promotion and development of Budokan Karate at both national and international levels.
Kyoshi M. Suresh is happily married to Mrs. Shwetha, and together they are blessed with two daughters, Vaidehi and Ananya.
Kyoshi Prabhakar Kunder was born in Malpe and began his martial arts journey in 1985 at the Indian Academy of Martial Arts under the guidance of K. Lakshmikanth. In 1989, he further advanced his training at the Institute of Karate and Allied Arts under the expert guidance of Hanshi Praveen Kumar.
In 1992, at the age of 25, he earned his Black Belt under the mentorship of Chew Choo Soot and Praveen Kumar. Following this achievement, he began conducting karate classes at Sudheendra Kalyana Mantap. Later, in 1994, he started training another batch of students at Malpe Sabhabhavana, where karate classes continue successfully even today.
Throughout his martial arts career, he has won several Grand Championship titles and achieved remarkable success in numerous State and National-level karate competitions. He is also known as the second person to organize an open-stage fedlight martial arts event at Malpe Beach, an initiative that drew widespread public appreciation and provided a unique platform to showcase martial arts talent.
Over the years, many students trained under his guidance have gained recognition for their exceptional performances and have secured numerous prizes and championship titles at both State and National levels.

Kyoshi Prabhakar Kunder is happily married to Prabhavathi, and the couple is blessed with a son, Sumith Prabhakar.
Hyashi Balakrishna Alva K. was born in Mangalore and began his journey of martial arts in 1980 at Vivekananda Junior College, Chimbur under the guidance of Sensei Madhavarao Shetty. From then on, he continued his journey of karate under the guidance of Sensei K. Harikanth at the Indian Academy of Martial Arts at Ladies Club, Mangalore.
He further enhanced his skills at the Institute of Karate and Allied Arts under the mentorship of Praveen Kumar. He along with three of his companions joined Praveen Kumar to start a new institute.
He has continued his journey through teaching a number of students and helping them train their own character in the field of karate. He along with Praveen Kumar travelled to many places to enhance the beauty of karate.
He has earned many certificates and has been represented as a referee by World Union of Karate Organization and has fulfilled the international requirements of the WUKO International Referee Council and is recognized as WUKO Chief Referee.
He has served at the Karate Budokan International as a Technical Director and as a Joint Secretary, and has worked in Karnataka Sports Karate Association as an EC member and in Dakshina Kannada Sports Association as a Secretary and Vice President.
With over 42 years of his learned experience in the field of Karate and Martial Arts, Balakrishna Alva K achieved the esteemed rank of Black Belt 8th Dan in 2025. In recognition of his long-standing contribution to Karate and martial arts development, he currently holds the position of Technical Chairman of United Karate Budokan International.
Recognized internationally by the World Union of Karate Organization, fulfilling the requirements of the WUKO International Referee Council and serving as a certified Chief Referee at international level.
